Standards-Based Elementary Report Cards

There is an exciting change coming to the RBUSD elementary report card in the 2024-2025 school year!

After much research and planning, Redondo Beach Unified School District has revised the standards-based elementary report card for students in Kindergarten-5th grade. This change is important as it supports our mission in providing parents/guardians with information regarding their child’s progress toward meeting grade level standards and demonstrating positive learner behaviors.

During the 2023-2024 school year, the Elementary Report Card Committee - made up of elementary teachers, principals, and district administrators - worked together to develop the new report card template. As part of the process, surveys were given to all elementary families and RBUSD elementary staff to better understand what each stakeholder group felt was important to include in the new report card. Additional feedback on a first draft was provided via survey before final revisions were made. The new elementary report card was presented to the Board of Education on May 14, 2024. You can view the presentation here.

We are thrilled to begin full implementation across all elementary sites this fall!

The purpose of the Redondo Beach Unified School District elementary report card is to provide parents/guardians with information regarding their child's progress toward meeting grade level standards and demonstrating positive learner behaviors.
