WELCOME

The Educational Services Department is committed to helping every student achieve and maintain excellence in meeting the rigorous expectations of California curriculum standards, district graduation requirements and career and college readiness. Additionally, we do so while focusing on the social, emotional and physical well-being of every student in our school district.

Our department is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the implementation of all aspects of the educational program for all of our students.

We hope that the resources available on this page are helpful to you and the academic and personal success of your children.

CALIFORNIA STATE STANDARDS

The California State Standards are a set of expected learning outcomes for K-12 students across the state in all content areas including math and language arts. The goal is for every student to be College and Career Ready by the time they graduate from high school. These new standards will require teachers to shift what they teach and how they teach as well as require students to shift what they learn and how they demonstrate their learning.

SINGLE PLAN FOR STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT (SPSA)

Academic achievement of students is the top priority of the education system in California. California Education Code sections 41507, 41572, and 64001 and the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) require each school to consolidate all school plans for programs funded through the School and Library Improvement Block Grant, the Pupil Retention Block Grant, the Consolidated Application, and ESEA Program Improvement into the Single Plan for Student Achievement. RBUSD's Board of Education received and filed each individual RBUSD school plan for the 2024-2025 school year. School site plans are living documents and will be regularly visited and updated as schools monitor progress to goals.
